## What is ProductTranslator?
ProductTranslator translates marketplace product listings into the buyer's local
language and returns the seller's own bulk-upload file — same columns, same order, same
format — ready to re-import. Today it serves Shopee and Lazada Indonesia, writing
Bahasa Indonesia. Its customers are marketplace sellers, many of them cross-border
sellers in mainland China and Hong Kong, who list in English or Chinese. The rule it
answers is Shopee's: a listing is deleted, with penalty points, when more than 50% of

## What it translates, and what it never touches
- Translated: product names, descriptions, attribute values, variant names.
- Never translated: brand names, model numbers, SKUs, attribute keys.
- Never changed: quantities, sizes, units, prices, percentages. Every number is replaced
  before translation, reinserted after, and compared against the original; a mismatch
  blocks delivery of that product.
- Passed through untouched: legal and policy text (terms, refund, warranty, privacy,
  shipping) and regulated health, cosmetic or food claims.

## Quality gate
- Local-language share is measured against Shopee's rule that a listing must be more
  than 50% local language.
- Field lengths are measured against the marketplace's own caps. A field that will not
  fit is shown to the seller, who chooses a shortened version or a refund for that
  product. Copy is never cut silently.
- HTML in descriptions is preserved.

## Pricing
- US$3.00 per product page for the first 500 pages of an order; US$2.50 per page
  after 500. A product page is one product, however many variations it has. No
  minimum, no subscription.
- Free sample: the first 6 products of an uploaded file, once per visitor every 7 days.
- The quote is free and needs no account. Nothing is translated before payment.

## Data handling
- Unpaid files are deleted after 5 days; uploads never turned into an order are deleted
  within 24 hours; delivered files are deleted 7 days after delivery.
- Translation runs through a model provider under a zero-data-retention policy.
- Servers in Malaysia.

## Integration Notes
- No public API. `/api/` endpoints serve the site's own upload form and are not a
  supported interface.
