Terms of service

1. Who we are

ProductTranslator is operated by QUIKFORGE LIMITED (LinkedIn), a company incorporated in Hong Kong (Business Registration No. 79555262), registered office Unit 2A, 17/F, Glenealy Tower, No. 1 Glenealy, Central, Hong Kong. In these terms "we" and "us" mean QUIKFORGE LIMITED, and "you" means the business using the service.

We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of Shopee or Lazada. Their names are used only to say which files the service works with.

2. Who these terms are for

The service is for businesses: sellers who list products on online marketplaces, and agencies that manage listings for them. It is not offered to consumers. By uploading a file, asking for a free sample or placing an order, you confirm that you act for a business and may accept these terms on its behalf.

3. What the service does, and what it does not

You give us the bulk-upload (mass upload) file your marketplace exports. We translate the product names, descriptions, attribute values and variation names in it into the language of the marketplace you choose, and give you back the same file, with the same columns, order and format, ready to upload again. Today the service covers Shopee Indonesia and Lazada Indonesia, written into Bahasa Indonesia.

• We never change brand names, model numbers, SKUs, attribute keys, quantities, sizes, units, prices or percentages.
• We never translate legal or policy text (terms, refund, warranty, privacy or shipping text), or health, cosmetic or food claims. We leave these in your original language, exactly as you wrote them. Text left in another language counts against a marketplace's local-language rule. Localising it is your responsibility, with advice suited to your products.
• Translation is done by AI models and checked by automated tests and a second AI model, as described in section 6. It is not human translation.

4. Quote, free sample, order and payment

Quote. The quote is free and needs no account. You tell us which marketplace and country your file comes from, and we do not detect it. If the file is not from the marketplace and country you declared, the quote and any translation may be wrong, and that is not a defect in our work.

Free sample. We translate the first six products of an uploaded file free of charge, once per visitor every seven days, so you can read real output before paying. The sample is provided as it is, and nothing is charged or refunded for it.

Price. US$3.00 per product page for the first 500 pages of an order, and US$2.50 per page after that. A product page is one product, however many variation rows it has in your file. There is no minimum and no subscription. The price in your quote is the price of that file.

Order and payment. When you order we give you a payment reference and send the payment details to your email. Your order is an offer to buy the translation of the file you were quoted for. The contract for that order is formed when we confirm by email that your payment has arrived. Nothing is translated before payment. We may decline an order before your payment arrives, and if we do, nothing is owed.

Paying the full price. You pay the quoted amount in full, in US dollars. Charges your bank or payment provider makes for sending the payment are yours. The price does not include any tax, duty or withholding that applies to you in your country. If the law requires you to withhold tax from a payment to us, you pay the extra amount needed for us to receive the quoted price.

Unpaid orders. We hold your file for 5 days while your payment travels. If the payment has not arrived by then, the file is deleted and nothing has been translated. If a payment arrives after that, see the refund policy.

5. Marketplace length limits

Marketplaces set their own limits on the length of product names, descriptions and variation options, and change them without notice. Translated text is often longer than its source. Where a translated field exceeds the destination marketplace's limit, we first try to shorten it while keeping its meaning. Where we cannot, we show you the affected product and field before delivery, in your own words, and you choose either:

• (a) that we shorten the field to fit, in which case you accept that the shortened translation may be less precise than your source text; or
• (b) that the product is left out of the delivery, in which case that product's price is refunded.

We do not choose for you, and a question you have not answered is not taken as consent to shorten. A field may already be over a marketplace's limit in its original language, before any translation. We do not edit your source copy to bring it within a limit it already exceeded, and no translation can do that.

6. Quality checks and withheld products

Before delivery every product is checked: every number must match your original, the local-language share must meet the marketplace's rule (for Shopee, more than half of the wording in the local language), HTML in descriptions must be preserved, and every field must fit its length limit. A product that fails is repaired once. If it still fails, we do not deliver it: it is withheld, and its price is refunded.

If any product is withheld, under this section or section 5(b), your delivery is two files: one with the translated products, ready to upload, and one with the withheld products exactly as you supplied them. A product is never split: if any field of a product is withheld, the whole product, with all its variations, is withheld.

7. Delivery, and checking what we deliver

We start when your payment is confirmed and tell you when to expect delivery. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, unless we agree a date with you in writing. Your files are available to download for 7 days after delivery and are then deleted, so download them promptly.

Check the delivered file before you upload it. You decide what you publish, and you remain responsible for your listings: their accuracy, the claims they make, and their compliance with the marketplace's rules and with the laws that apply to your products. A defect in our work that you report to us within 7 days of delivery is fixed free, or that product is refunded, as set out in the refund policy. No refund is given for delivered work after that.

8. No guarantee of marketplace outcome

Marketplaces set their own rules, apply their own automated checks, and change both without notice. We do not guarantee that a listing we translate will be accepted, kept, left unremoved, or ranked in any position. We do not guarantee that a marketplace will measure the language of a listing the way we do. Our checks measure the rules as the marketplaces publish them, and a marketplace's own decision about your listing is not a defect in our work.

9. Your files and your content

You keep every right you have in your files, and the translations we deliver are yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process your files only to provide the service to you: to quote, to translate, to check, to deliver and to answer your questions. We do not use your files to train AI models. We send text only to model providers that keep none of it and train on none of it (see the privacy notice).

You confirm that you are entitled to give us the content in your files and to have it translated, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law. We may refuse to process, or stop processing, content we believe is unlawful.

10. Personal data

Our own use of your contact details, and what happens to the files you upload, is described in the privacy notice. Product catalogues are commercial data, but a file may contain personal data, such as a person's name. We handle any such data only on your instructions and only to provide the service. We keep it secure, delete it on the schedule in the privacy notice, and share it only with the service providers listed there. You are responsible for being entitled to give it to us.

11. Fair use

Do not try to get around the free-sample limit, overload or probe the service, upload malicious files, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may refuse or block requests that do.

12. Liability

• Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
• For a paid order, our total liability arising from that order is limited to the amount you paid for it. For the free quote and the free sample, it is limited to US$100.
• We are not liable for loss of profit, sales, revenue, listings, ranking, goodwill or business opportunity, for penalties imposed by a marketplace, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
• For a defect in delivered work, your remedy is a fix or a refund under the refund policy.

13. Refusing, suspending and cancelling

We may refuse an order, or suspend the service, at any time. If we cancel an order you have paid for before delivering all of it, we refund everything we have not delivered. You may cancel a paid order before translation starts and receive a full refund. Once translation has started, an order cannot be cancelled, but the refunds in sections 5 and 6 still apply.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date and version at the top show which text is current. The terms that apply to an order are the version shown here on the day you placed it.

15. Law, disputes and language

These terms, and any dispute about them or the service, are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, write to us and give us 30 days to put things right.

These terms are written in English. If we publish them in another language, the English version controls wherever the two differ.

16. Contact and notices

Email hello@producttranslator.com, quoting your payment reference if you have one. A notice to us takes effect when we receive it. We send notices to you at the email address you gave with your order.
